The discovery of a bomb lance inside a bowhead whale is an AP story that is appearing in all the papers this morning.
The authenticity and age of the lance was verified by New Bedford's John Bockstoc. And while I can't agree with the conclusion that the lance was fired by a New Bedford whaler, the overall sleuthing is good.
