The USS Monitor Center is set to open in a year.Museum officials announced today they've already raised more than 25 million dollars for the center and they are now embarking on the public phase of its campaign to raise 30 million dollars for a wing to house artifacts from the wreckage of the Civil War ironclad USS Monitor.
